Oba Salami Has Passion For Idena - Basorun Idena
The newly installed Basorun of Idena-Iperu in Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State, High Chief Wasiu Mustapha has described Idena Monarch as a Royal father with unparalleled standard.
He disclosed this while speaking during an interview with journalists in Iperu, Basorun Wasiu explained that the reign of the monarch has continued to attract radical socio- economic transformation to the community, ushering in the establishment of a cassava processing factory by the Federal Government, Irrigation Dam among other projects that have upscaled the community.
He added that Oba Salami was God chosen for Idenaland, pointing out that his reign had continued to witness peace and improve infrastructure for the people.
Chief Mustapha revealed that his installation as the Basorun of Idenaland would encourage him to contribute more to the socio- economic development of his community, leveraging on available opportunities to position his fatherland on a vantage position.
He maintained that there was the need for the people to complement government's efforts in nation building, through self-help projects, stating that, it was the only way we could enhance speedy development as the growth of Idenaland must be a collective responsibility of all and sundry.
He further stressed the need for the people to join the moving train by extending maximum cooperation to the monarch,, so that Idena would be positioned on the world map.
He lauded the free health scheme of Oba Salami as it has directly reduced death rate in the community while the free food scheme initiated by the monarch three years ago had gone a long way to reduce hunger and further give hope to the people.
He also spoke on the annual Remo Day Festival describing the festival as an event that would further unite Remo Division and prepare the area for future development. He said the event would enable the people to synergise on issue of common interest and fashion out modalities that would put smile on their faces
He his message of hope to the people, he revealed that challenges facing Nigeria as a nation was a temporary one, saying the economy would soon improve and the people would have the course to celebrate and rejoice.
He added that Nigerians should be hopeful that the lost glory of the country would be restored.
